Highwood Crossing

            Highwood Crossing is a family owned, certified organic grain farm located next to the Highwood River south of Calgary. We carry a variety of their organic grains, granolas, gluten-free flour mixes, and even oils.

            Tony and Penny Marshall run the farm, and the land has been in the Marshall family for generations. Tony and Penny began using organic and sustainable farming methods in 1989. They are proud to grow non-GMO crops, free of toxic chemicals or pesticides, with a small carbon footprint.

            The dedication of Highwood Crossing to such high standards has not gone unnoticed: they were awarded the Innovation in Agriculture award in 2000, the Habitat Steward Award in 2002, and in 2014 they were named Canadian Food Heroes at the national Slow Food Canada conference. This is certainly a farm that we are proud to support!
